National Night Out is a crime prevention program put on nationwide by law enforcement, incorporating the community Neighborhood Watch (NHW) groups and those interested in starting a Watch. National Night Out is designed to heighten crime and drug prevention awareness, generate support for, and participation in local anti-crime programs, strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships, and send a message to criminals letting them know that neighborhoods are organized and fighting back.
The event will be a BBQ and we will have representatives from Target Stores, County Fire Department, San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Search and Rescue, Sheriff’s Aviation, California Highway Patrol, Victorville Police Department, McGruff the Crime Dog, Home Depot, Kona Ice, Out of this World BBQ, Y-102 radio, Victorville Public Works, Best Buy, American Red Cross, High Desert Business Builders, Allstate, Envision Foods (Jack in the Box), City Officials, Devcon Security, as well as other businesses in the area providing various safety information, tips, and products. Please join us for a BBQ, shaved ice, games, face painting, and safety information as well as fun and fellowship with local residents in the community.
